DWTS First Elimination 3-30-10

OK, so last night was the first elimination for the season. And as I had hoped and voted for, Kate was safe!!!! I was shocked however that Buzz was not the one eliminated. That can happen next week. Although I forgot that what had to have saved him is the fact that he received a ton of votes via the viewers. Most likely b/c he is an American Hero, even though he can't dance worth crap.
I can tell you I won't miss Shannon. Although I didn't think they danced that badly. From what I gather the main reason for them being the ones eliminated is b/c her partner had a knee injury. :( Hope he is alright.
I know it is too soon to say this, I do hope the final two are Kate and Niecy. Only time will tell. BTW I was only going to watch DWTS as long as Kate was on, although I think I will continue to watch until both she and Niecy are eliminated. (Hope that DOESN'T happen)

DWTS Part 2

Last night was episode 2, with the first elimination tonight. Quickly here is my recap...........
everyone performed very well. Better this week then last week. Kate is still being held back by her nerves, with that being said, did well. The two people that stuck out to me this episode were Niecy and Buzz. Niecy.......she is simply a hoot!!! Buzz b/c I hate to say this with him being the first to walk the moon, he can't dance, regardless of age. He did receive the lowest scores.
Who do you think will be eliminated??? Will it be Buzz? Guess you'll have to watch tonight to find out. 8/7pm central on ABC

Dancing With The Stars Pt. 1

I will be posting about DWTS until Kate is kicked off. Kate is the only reason I am watching DWTS. Say what you wish, but even you have a favorite, and it is not for me to criticized you watching the show for them.
What was your opinion of the show Monday night? Here is my run down........
Kate did very well, considering she was a nervous wreck!!! And for those of you who wish to bash her, well consider this.......at least she is not Octo-Mom (Nadia S.) accepting an offer from Vivid (the porno company) to pay her bills. At least Kate is out there making an honest living for her and her 8 wonderful children, since Jon is a deadbeat! I don't know anyone else who would step up to the plate like she has.
Pam Anderson.........so so
Shannen Doherty......so so, although she I felt used the media
Nicole Scherzinger......alright
Erin Andrews....alright
Niecy Nash..... good, and boy was she funny
Evan Lysacek......so so

Ahh showing sweet love on Valentines Day. How does your special person feel about affection??.......LOL LOL

Our Valentines Day will actually be postponed at least a few days. Why?? B/C I have this thing about paying extra for anything, and we all know that they jack up the prices just b/c it is Valentines Day. Besides, we spend enough on ea. other through out the rest of the year, so we don't feel we need to spend that extra $$$ just b/c it is a holiday. I am 110% ok with that (waiting) to save some $$$. Gosh after all I am the queen of coupon clipping. I just consider myself lucky to be with Chris. He truly is the best they come!

Fact of the Day: porterhouse steak

Martin Morrison, owner of Martin Morrison's Porterhouse in New York City, is credited with coming up with the name porterhouse steak around 1814. The main customers at his establishment were sailors. One late evening with no beef left except for the short loin roasting piece, Morrison served a sailor a broiled slice of it. The sailor enjoyed the steak so much that he ordered nothing else and Martin Morrison's Porterhouse began to specialize in the small loin steak. The word porterhouse originally referred to an establishment where porter (a very dark sweet ale) and sometimes steaks and other meals were sold.

Michael was lucky enough to be granted a snow day today. I can't believe they actually called school on Wednesday night. That was unheard of when I was a Lindbergh student, so...........many years ago.

My Latest Updates

This post won't be very long since I don't have many. So here goes.

• The 23 & 24th Chris and I got away and went camping. I can't begin to tell you how much fun I/we had. All except for the 2nd part in which we were rained out. :( We did have to come back early.
  
• Then on the 25th LHS had their Homecoming game (against Lafayette) we won!
• Saturday the 26th was the Homecoming dance in which Michael attended with his friend Shelby. From what I understand.......they both had a blast! :)
• On Sunday Sept. 27th Bob/DRJ -Racing hosted their 2nd race of the season at Greensfelder Park in Eureka, MO. Chris did race and came in 1st!!!! Congrats my Love. I did registration (which totally rocked) and handed Chris is water bottles. I'm the best multi tasker this side of the MO river. :)
  
• Friday Oct. 2nd Michael and the rest of the LHS Marching band headed out to Tulsa, OK to another comp.

  "The Lindbergh High School "Spirit of St. Louis" Marching Band placed fifth in preliminary competition and third in final competition at the Tulsa Union 2009 Renegade Review Marching Band Championship!"

  He returned Sunday the 4th around 5ish.
• Not much happening this week that is until this weekend. Chris and I head out to Council Bluffs to the Burnin at the Bluff race (12 hr) Details HERE. Then we finish up there, to get in the car and drive to Miami, OK and drop him off for a week long job duty and I come back home (and miss the heck out of him) :) :(

Latest News

I will make this short and sweet, since most don't like to read postings that are long and drawn out. So Saturday (9-19-09) the LHS Marching Band headed to Farmington, MO for the Farmington Marching Invitational 2009. And great news..........we placed 2nd. Results HERE.
Also this Thursday night kicks off the Homecoming events. It all starts at 7pm with the LHS Parade. Then Friday the Football Game, then ending with the dance Saturday night. As an added bonus, Tim Ezell from Fox 2 news will be in the house (LHS that is) on Friday. So be sure to watch Fox 2 news in the morning starting at 6am to catch all the awesome Green & Gold spirit!!

Busy Weekend

Tonight is another home Football game. You can actually catch this one live via the Internet. If you are interested you can watch it HERE. I am positive I will know no more about Football by the end of the season then I do now. As I have said, I am there to support my son in the LHS Marching Band. Go Michael!!! Mom Loves You
Then tomorrow is a Mtb bike race at Castlewood State Park. The race details are HERE. I will be there (dah) cheering My Love, Chris on.
Sunday is my mom's bday so those plans are still up in the air. :)
