At 4:37 am this morning we experienced an earthquake. At first Chris and I didn't know what to make of it, since as of the 10pm news we were to be getting a storm coming through after midnight. We just sat up and were looking at each other in complete awe. It was much to long to be a huge gust of wind and there was no activity outdoors as last noted. So I turned to my favorite and only TV news source, Fox 2. And sure enough, a 5.2 earthquake hit at 4:37 am. And Michael, well he slept through it. Funny though, he asked me, "where was I when it hit"? There are/were so many funny responses I could have said, but didn't. Oh well. Just a reminder St. Louis is located on the New Madrid FaultFull Details

We just had either another earthquake or a long aftershock. I will keep you posted. Actually truth be told, I would rather experience earthquakes instead of any other weather condition.

That was considered by the news media to be an aftershock and rated at 4.5 vs. the 5.2 we had early today.
