My Latest News...

Alright I have to apologize for most of my posting being news related lately. Not much has been happening, however that is good since no news is good news. Now on to my latest news...
On Friday Michael spent the night at a friends house (as he does often) so on Saturday I went to pick him up and decided to walk there instead of driving. Good choice I thought, that was until I slipped on a mud covered sidewalk and landed on my butt although more so on my tail bone. And yes, it is still very sore today. I don't know why I didn't walk around it or even tried to catch myself via my hands, but I didn't nevertheless and landed lock stock and barrel on my butt/tail bone.
Since the beginning of this year I have gained a few extra pounds (see cute Garfield cartoon below) that I don't like/want, so as of Tuesday July 29Th (yes only one day) I have started exercising. How am I exercising you ask, well I head over to Chris' and walk from his home to the park and circle the park a couple of times and head back. That is the perfect distance/exercise for me. Doing that every other day until forever will do me good. You might be wo
ndering what about the Tandem. Well Chris' love right now is focused on his personal bicycles, which is fine. I figure that with walking it will make me stronger for the Tandem when we take it out next. I am also secretly getting my legs ready for hiking with Chris in the fall. (oops I guess he knows now) :-)

**Since I like Garfield's point of view, this may very well be why I have the few extra pounds**
The other big news is, if you recall Michael participated in Cotillion back in 7Th grade January 23 - February 27Th. During that time a lady, Kathy Bade said she would take photos since they didn't want the parents sticking around. I was fine with that at the time. However I have come to realize that it is not always a good idea to entrust all photos into another's hand. I am pissed that Kathy would have the gull to volunteer to take the photos and then give all of the parents a deadline of late February/first of March for the parents to have the photos in hand then simply let the date come and go as though nothing transpired. If you know me, I didn't let Kathy get away with that. It finally came down to me contacting the Middle school principal in June to step in and give this Kathy Bade a good swift kick in the arse. And here we sit 5 mos. damm near 6 mo later since today is the 30Th of July. We are also 3 wks away from the 08-09 school year. I am happy to report however I have the pictures in hand. You may view all photos here and here and also here.
One thing I have learned for this experience is not to entrust all photos in another's hands. I don't want to go against the "rules" however I will in future to get some photos of my own.
