I did however make Michael a little disgusted. How? Well as you know I am a walker/exerciser and I am now walking in the mornings while Michael is waiting for the bus. It's not as though I am standing at the bust stop with him. (my dream mind you) :-)
Here is the much anticipated update. First about the bus. The bus this year is over crowed, with as many as 4 per bus seat. That has got to be huge no no. But who am I, except a concerned parent. If it doesn't work its self out by weeks end then I will call Monday and inquire about Michael taking his bike, however one of the items in the handbook to not bring to school is a bicycle. However I am sure there is over crowding on more then just Michael's bus and this would be one way to correct the problem, at least while the weather is "nice".
As with any 8th grader, Michael thinks his teachers are so so.
Now on to the lockers. School underwent many face lifts over the summer, one of them being new single person lockers.
How did they assign the lockers...well they assigned them alpha by last name. The teacher called your name and you went and got a locker number and locker combo. As it turns out, Michael got a floor locker. He did try to trade with two different "short people", however no go.
Then he walked home. Once I arrived home he informed me that he needed a new music book no later then ........................tomorrow (of course). So off to work er I mean the music store/Nottelmann's Music which happens to be only a few miles and turns away from work. :-)
All is good to go for the 2nd school day.
