Weekend Roudup Sept 6 & 7th

What a busy busy weekend all the way around. To being with Saturday Michael started on his bowling team for the season. I hope this goes well for him, since on of his teammates seems to be a problem causing fool. Long story short, sometime over the summer this kid we will call BL, purchased/received a moped and is now whizzing all around town on it. Well needless to say, he used it as his mode of transportation to and from bowling on Saturday. With that offered both JS and my son a ride, however JS rode first and I got to Michael before he could get a ride. To sum up this part of my weekend, I do not want my son involved in illegal acts if I can prevent it. The MO law states: "The Missouri State Highway Patrol would like to remind parents it is illegal to operate motorized bicycles on public streets and highways unless the operator has a driver's license." You may read the entire law here
Besides that Michael and the "group" headed up to Waffle House and Michael didn't ask permission so in turn he was grounded for the weekend. And that was his first grounding. I hope he has leaned something from this. Only time will tell. I am sure he has, since he is the best child a parent can ask for. Michael is a straight shooter, except when he is around this problem child, BL.
Next, we come to Sunday. That was busy as well. With doing laundry and the general household chores, besides. Sunday AM, Chris had a bike race which he took 2nd. Way to go, Chris! *Side note, Chris got two injuries if you will while at the race, he knocked his right knee on the bars and some how got a large gash on his lower left shin.* I sadly didn't attend, I had to head home then back out to VP go grab Chris lunch so he could shovel it down and head off to his first REAL Kayak ride with a buddy from Work, Taylor. I dropped them in Pacific, MO, their ending point, Valley Park, MO. We did have to do a little car switcharoo, and I got the chance to drive a Jeep Wrangler, and I by far am not a Jeep girl. I only drove it to help out the guys. I will gladly drive it again, however it is not my vehicle of choice. Then back to do some additional chores and then I thought I would go to the park and wait for the guys to return. They both est. the rowing time at 2 hrs. instead it was 4+ hrs. Just when I was packing up to head back, they showed and boy oh boy was I releaved! Then feed them and on about our evening businesss/lives.
So that sums up my very busy weekend.
