Incoming HS Freshman Orientation

I spent my Wednesday evening up at the HS for Michael's freshman orientation. Phew, is all I can say. The informational first part was awesome. Full of information and quick, even after 7+ pages of slides. Then on to the exhibits. That was not nearly as quick. Why? Well Michael ran off with his "boys" and they did their thing while I stood in line to surprise and catch up with the one teacher that is a miracle worker. Vicki Everding is the one teacher in my life that I will never forget. She is the best!!! It was simply grand to catch up after all these years. The last time she saw Michael, well he was only a couple of months old. And now, well he stands 6'0" and a incoming freshman. I look forward to our paths crossing again!
Michael's big excitement for the evening was picking up a drivers manual. That to say the least was not something I wanted to see. As he likes to call it, his bible. To each their own.
