Latest in the racing world......

In attempts to updating everyone about Chris' latest races, here goes. Yesterday (Saturday June 20th) we (Jeff, Carrie Sona, Chris and myself) all headed to Highland IL for an Adverture Race. If you are not familar it is a very mini version of the amazing race. The 3 of them made up a team. I stayed back at home base and attempted to make things as easy as possible on the 3 of them when they came in. Sadly due to forgetting drivers license back home, I was unable to drive to the various check in points. The Sona's did grant me full permission to their van knowing that, however since I was out of state (that old addage) I opted to not act on it. Thank you, Sona's!!

The race lasted 6:30. Sure the temps may have been warm, but I took all propter precautions and did just fine. I was even able to steel a few cap naps (outside). The race started at 9am with Cycling, then some running and back to homebase, then off again for a little more running to the lake to the canoes. And lastly just a bit more running to homebase to come in 4th place! You guys totally rocked, fantastic job! Chris, you had nothing at all to worry about. So same time/place next year??? LOL

Next race......St. Joe's MTB Challenge - Today

I did not attend this race for two reasons:

1. It is Father's day so we took my Dad out to breakfast

2. Chris wanted to spend quality time with only the guys. I know, I know how crazy is that? LOL

In parting.....how wonderful is Chris?! He not only spent 6:30 hrs yesterday in the heat, but again today he raced Expert class - again in the heat. What a man!!!
